State UpdatesNovember 2020 - New Mexico is a State whose government has firmly committed to giving away the control of New Mexico's 5 Electoral Votes to people who are not related to New Mexico at all. Given who the elected officials are in New Mexico, we don't expect New Mexico to drop out of the National Popular Vote scheme in the near term. New Mexico just joined the Compact when NPVIC sales people sold the idea to State Democrat lawmakers in 2019. |
