State Updates

November 2020  -   In August 2011, the Democrat California Legislature passed the National Popular vote Interstate Compact the first time it was presented to them.

California was one of the first 10 States (the 9th, specifically) to join this Federation-threatening Contract of Collusion.

We believe in miracles, but otherwise we don't believe that California lawmakers will ever want Californians to be in direct control of CALIFORNIA's Electoral Votes again.  For one thing, it can easily be argued that CALIFORNIA will actually be in control of more than 100 Electoral Votes itself, once this scheme is activated.

California SHOULD Repeal their participation in this scheme.  The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact scheme CHANGES these United States DRAMATICALLY - from the Federation of States that it has been since 1788 into the democracy that our Founders the Federation to NOT be.

In the News ...

LIVERMORE, 02-18-2021  - Author Barry Fadem Calls For National Popular Vote. By Larry Altman, The Independent  -  Naturally, we take issue with almost every sentence, certainly every paragraph, in this extremely one-sided article. MANY factual errors appear to be what carries the argument here, in our opinion. Barry Fadam has been an extremely-involved campaigner for the National Popular Vote scheme virtually from their start back in 2004/2005.  His "authorship" includes the book "Every Vote Equal", which he published over ten years, a tome designed to sell the idea that open democracy is far better for our Federation than is having the States continue to elect the President.

CALIFORNIA,  11-09-2020  -  There's a plan afoot to replace the Electoral College, and your state may already be part of it. By Elliott Ramos, NBC News

LOS ANGELES, 10-20-2020  -  These Californians are close to changing the Electoral College to a popular vote.  The Los Angeles Times

DENVER, 9-27-2020  -  Op-ED:  Don't give our voice and votes to California. Vote "NO" on the National Popular Vote.  By Rose Femia Pugliese, The Denver Post.   NOTE:  Voters in Colorado DID Vote YES to approve Colorado's participation in the NPVIC on November 3, 2020.

Almost always, your letter needs to be 200 to 250 words or less.  Be courteous and simply express your opinion about why you believe that it is in California's best interests to remain in control CALIFORNIA's Electoral Votes, and that California needs to REPEAL the National Popular Vote interstate Compact every time that it is brought up.
