They say that 'Winner-Take-All' is a problem. But, their solution is 'LOSER-Take-All'!
Picture
The National Popular Vote scheme brings the same Big City Control of Statewide elections to the entire nation.
Picture
The Electoral College was never created to protect slavery!
Picture
The US Constitution put our new nation on a direct Collission Course with the 7,000-yr-old institution of slavery.  76 years later, it and a bloody Civil War ended slavery within the U.S.
Picture
Apparently, it's not Fair ENOUGH!
Picture
When your Policies don't attract enough votes, CHANGE the election rules!
Picture
The National Popular Vote sales people tell us that the only votes that matter are those cast in contested races where money was spent to get them!
Picture
The NPV scheme makes actual voters quite UNEQUAL!
Picture
The NPV scheme transfers the CONTROL of your State's Votes to people NOT from your State!!   But, they are still YOUR State's Votes!
Picture
Picture
The NPV scheme dra, atically weakens the Federation of States.
Picture
History shows that democracy quickly dissolves into tyranny. Our Founders wrote about that a lot!
Picture
NPV sales people allow us to believe that by changing to popular voting, the VOTERS will make sure that no 'evil' people are elected President!    Not true.
Picture
WHY isn't their idea good enough for THEM to use themselves?!
Picture
Just as the Big Urban Areas do in Statewide elections, under the NPV, the Big Urban Areas will be the boss in choosing the President, too.
Picture
The United States has never been an outright democracy. The term "democracy" was never used once in any of the founding documents.  A democracy is Tyranny by Majority - the United States is designed against that to protect, instead, Individual Liberty.
Picture
Our States collectively are the Boss of the Federal government and sit in designed counterbalance to it.
Picture
It's a matter of Assignment. For the US Federation, the Founders considered and rejected having the US population elect the President. They assigned that right, role and responsibility, instead, to EACH of the STATES. On purpose.
Picture
The United States was DESIGNED, with Checks and Balances.  The STATES elect the President, using specially-chosen Electors (and NOT the population), to cast the STATES' Votes.
Picture
The President is to govern the Federation of STATES. Our STATES are designed to govern us domestically.
Picture
Elections have always been STATE affairs, not national.  Election problems stay within a single State should they arise, and do not impact voters or any other State.
Picture
The National Popular Vote scheme shifts the influence away from the smallest States making the largest States more influential. And the smaller States virtually irrelevant!  Remember, each STATE in our Federation thinks and acts through its Legislature.
CALIFORNIA's voters will ALSO now determine this same percentage of the decision in each of the NPV Compact States, too - much more than the voters in that State do!
