Apparently, the
Electoral College is not "Fair Enough"!

State Updates

February 2023 - So far, there has been no activity in the Arkansas legislature.  We would love to see some legislation reaffirming the State's commitment to the Electoral College and opposition to the National Popular Vote scheme, but so far, no news is good news.

December 2020 - We expect a big push by NPVIC in the new Legislature in January 2021.  The Associated Press reports that the paid consultant staff of NPV is targeting certain States in 2021 and 2022.

Critics of Electoral College Target States, Push for Popular Vote Compact

We expect a push, from the California-based National Popular Vote office, however they are likely to spare Arkansas as they move on Purple States first in 2021, where they believe they have a better chance of winning.

Because of Arkansas' current State government make-up and the pretty strong feelings of independence and States' Rights believed in by most of Arkansas citizens, we feel that Arkansas is a sound and solid Electoral College State, not likely at risk of joining the dangerous NPVIC collusion contract.

Featured Opinion Piece - "Put It to a Vote"

Dana Kelley really knocks it our of the park with this Op Ed piece!

By Dana D. Kelley, Freelance Writer from Jonesboro, Arkansas   -   January 14, 2022

Excerpt - "Popular POTUS election would negatively alter the federal nature of the position, defeat the compound ratio of states' votes, and upset the balance of power structure among the three branches.

"The framers knew well the critical difference between a republic and a democracy--they celebrated the former and hated the latter."  Read Dana's full piece here in the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

Send Your Letter to the Editor -

Almost always, your letter needs to be 200 to 250 words or less.  Be courteous and simply express your opinion about why you believe that it is in Arkansas' best interests to remain in control ARKANSAS' Electoral Votes, and that Arkansas needs to REJECT the National Popular Vote interstate Compact every time that it is brought up.
