NPVIC StatusSadly, the NPV Repeal bills were both killed by Democrats in 2023THESE Great Bills would have been ideal to pass! These were bills to REPEAL the State's Participation in the NPVIC scheme in the CURRENT legislative session! Regrettably, Democrats killed them both - CT is still in the NPV compact and has given away the control of who chooses Connecticut's Electors!
HB-5085 Introduced by Rep. John Piscopo, 76th District. HB-5132 Introduced by Rep. Craig Fishbein, R-90th District and Rep. Mark Anderson, R-62nd District. Contact these lawmakers by e-Mail anyway, by clicking the links above and THANK them for defending our Constitution, States' Rights and the Electoral College! |
State UpdatesJanuary 13, 2024 (Update) - Last summer, Democrats effectively killed both bills that would have REPEALED Connecticut's participation in the terrible National Popular Vote scheme. There has been no other activity since. January 9, 2023 - Two bills that would REPEAL and withdraw Connecticut's participation in the National Popular Vote scheme have been introduced by Republican Reps John Piscopo (HB-5085), Craig Fishbein and Mark Anderson (HB-5132). We STRONGLY SUPPORT both of these bills! January 2021 - FOUR Bills that will REPEAL the State of Connecticut's participation in the dangerous National Popular Vote Interstate Compact scheme has been introduced by Reps John Piscopo and Kurt Vail, along with 13 other Assembly Members! Senator Rob Sampson has introduced the Senate Repeal Bill, SB-755! Get behind these bills and let your local News Media that you SUPPORT them!! We strongly SUPPORT these Bills! The links are on this page. CONNECTICUT has been a part of the scheme to collude with other States by using a "national" popular vote compact since 2018. We believe in miracles, but otherwise we don't believe that current Connecticut lawmakers will want the people of Connecticut to be in control of CONNECTICUT's Electoral Votes again. That is fairly repulsive in OUR opinion! Connecticut SHOULD Repeal their participation in this scheme. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact scheme CHANGES these United States DRAMATICALLY - from the Federation of States that it has been since 1788 and much closer to becoming the monolithic democracy that our Founders - and ALL of our States - intended the Federation to NOT be. |
