State Updates

January 5, 2024 - A new National Popular Vote bill has been introduced in the Kentucky House.  Check back for updates. Follow HB-153, introduced by a line Democrat, Rep. Chad Aull, D-79th District.

October 2020 - We expect a push, from the California-based National Popular Vote office, in Kentucky in 2021.  They have hired many Republican State lawmakers and 'consultants' for the express purpose of convincing Republican legislatures that a national popular vote will help their Party specifically.

With a Republican Governor and a solid Republican General Assembly, however, Kentucky is one of the few Red States that will prove a big challenge to the Left in their campaign to activate their voting scheme.  They have agreed ("colluded") to activate their dangerous Compact once they have 270 Electoral Votes worth of legislatures sign on.

The National Republican Party stands strongly opposed to the NPVIC scheme in its Party Platform and Kentucky Republicans have a good track record of following the Republican Party Platform.

Send Your Letter to the Editor -

Almost always, your letter needs to be 200 to 250 words or less.  You need to include your name, address and phone number - often, staff will call you to verify that you really sent the Letter in.
Be courteous and simply express your opinion about why you believe that it is in Kentucky's best interests to remain in control KENTUCKY'S Electoral Votes, and that KENTUCKY needs to REJECT the National Popular Vote interstate Compact every time that it is brought up.
